David,
Out of curiosity, I would like to ask why would you, or any of the other devoted Savage riders, endure such punishing rides on this small bike when there are larger, more comfortable and well faired bikes available for that sort of riding? Maybe I haven't properly experienced the Savage mystique yet, but is it like catching that big fish by cleverly playing it with a pole and line that is rated beneath the task? Is it proving that the Savage is a bike for all seasons no matter what the pain factor may be? I like my Savage well enough for tooling around my area of town and a leisure ride out on the State roads, but I haven't figured out why there are so many that seem to take pride in the Marathon rides of penitence that I can't help imagining are embellished by wearing raw woolen underwear.
Just curious....Richard
